The new energy source (bio-fuel from industrial waste) is part of a proactive green approach to energy consumption and will be used across ServerHouse's datacentres. ServerHouse is now carbon neutral without any carbon offsetting.

ServerHouse, a leading colocation provider based in Fareham, has announced plans to open a fifth data centre in the area. Building work for the new 22,000-square-foot Tier III data centre will commence this year and is expected to be complete in late 2016. Shortly after completing Hot aisle containment in their Fareham 2 facility after an extensive review they've launched a Hot aisle containment project for the Fareham 1 colocation facility. The system is bespoke and made to retrofit into the live data centre. It is expected to reduce the PUE and simplify load distribution and diversity across the facility.

Virgin Media today completed running DWDM fibre optic cables into the ServerHouse Fareham Datacentre. The state of art fibre will allow Virgin Media to provide up to 10Gb/s connections to ServerHouse customers. Virgin Media will become the 3rd UK Telco and 2nd Tier-2 provider to POP ServerHouse Fareham.
